Terms & Conditions.

The rules of the road for using Peppi. Plain language where we can, legalese where we have to.

Last updated: January 1, 2026

1. Acceptance

By signing up for Peppi or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, have the legal capacity to enter into a contract, and provide accurate registration information including a valid US or Canadian phone number.

3. The service

Peppi is an SMS-based AI companion service. You build a personalized AI buddy and interact with them via text message. Peppi may include web search, calendar management, and other tools that evolve over time. Features may change, expand, or be discontinued.

4. Your account

You're responsible for activity on your phone number. Don't share your account or let others impersonate you. Notify us at [email protected] if your number is compromised.

5. Acceptable use

Don't use Peppi to:

  • Break any law or third party's rights
  • Harass, threaten, or harm others
  • Generate sexual content involving minors, or content depicting real-world violence
  • Abuse, reverse-engineer, or overload the Service
  • Solicit medical, legal, or mental-health crisis advice as if Peppi were a licensed professional

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

6. Peppi isn't a professional

Peppi is an AI companion, not a substitute for a doctor, therapist, lawyer, financial advisor, or crisis service. Don't rely on Peppi for medical, legal, financial, or emergency decisions. If you're in crisis, call or text 988 (US) or your local emergency line.

7. Content & ownership

You retain ownership of the messages you send. You grant Peppi a limited license to process, store, and use your messages to operate the Service and personalize your experience.

Peppi-generated replies are provided for your personal use. You may share them, but you accept responsibility for how you use them.

8. Billing & subscriptions

Paid plans are billed monthly in advance. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel. Cancel anytime; access continues to the end of your current billing period.

Top-up packs are non-refundable and expire at the end of the calendar month they were purchased.

9. Refunds

We don't offer refunds for partial months or unused texts. If something has gone seriously wrong, contact [email protected] and we'll review case by case.

10. Messaging & carrier fees

Standard SMS rates from your mobile carrier may apply. Most US carriers include unlimited SMS in their basic plans. Peppi is not responsible for carrier charges or delivery failures outside our control.

11. Termination

You can delete your account anytime by texting "delete my account" or emailing [email protected]. We may terminate accounts that violate these Terms or for legitimate operational reasons, with notice where practical.

12. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." We disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement to the maximum extent permitted by law. Peppi's outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for your situation; verify anything that matters.

13. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Peppi's total liability for any claim arising from the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or $100, whichever is greater. We're not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental damages.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Peppi harmless from any claims arising from your misuse of the Service or violation of these Terms.

15. Changes to terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by SMS or email. Continued use after changes means you accept the new Terms.

16. Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflicts-of-laws rules. Disputes will be resolved by binding arbitration on an individual basis, except for small-claims court matters and injunctive relief.
